Wayne friebe - Co-owner and founder
Wayne trained as an electrician in the UK, completing a full apprenticeship with a London-based contractor in the 1990s whose clients included the Royal Household, the Metropolitan Police, and a number of government departments.
After his training and several years working in the industry, Wayne broadened his experience into telecoms power and data equipment commissioning, including working on cell phone network infrastructure roll out in South Asia — giving him a strong foundation in the technology side of electrical systems that remains relevant today with the growth of EV charging, smart home systems, and energy management technology.
Wayne moved to Canada in 2008, settling on Vancouver Island and working toward his Red Seal qualification and FSR/Master Electrician certification before founding Flex Electric in 2010.
Allen Hall - Co - Owner
Allen is a Victoria native who has called Vancouver Island home his entire life. He started his electrical apprenticeship in 2006, spending his early career gaining valuable hands-on experience wiring high-end custom homes and complex multi-unit projects. In 2013 he joined Flex Electric, where he has played an integral role in growing the company.
Before entering the trades, Allen's background in the hospitality industry instilled a genuine passion for people and community — something that continues to shape every client relationship and project he takes on.
Outside of work, Allen is a proud family man, married with two daughters. A competitive rugby player for over 20 years, he brings that same sense of teamwork, discipline, and commitment to everything he does.
